Steven J. Spiegel

CEO / Board Member

Steve Spiegel has been affiliated with Topricin for more than twenty years, since restructuring the company in 1998 to facilitate its future growth. Since being named CEO by Topical BioMedic’s Board in the third quarter of 2019, Steve is charting a new course for the company. Based on Topricin’s 25-year history of safety & efficacy, along with new science that explains its unique mechanisms of action, Steve is confident that Topricin will continue to grow market share in-store and online. A lawyer, director, advisor, and investor in numerous wellness-related companies over more than a quarter century, Steve is the author of the critically-acclaimed book “The Heart of Wellness: A Short History of a New Age.” Steve has been profiled by Apple Computer as the creative lawyer “who has taken ‘Think Different’ to a whole new level” and by a former law firm, Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom as “a true renaissance man—solo practitioner, serial entrepreneur, environmental activist, author and musician.” Steve is a graduate of Brown University, where he was awarded best thesis in honors history, and Columbia University School of Law, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar each academic year.

Andy Kadison

CMO

Andy Kadison is an executive, communicator, I.P. creator, brand builder, writer, and award-winning producer/creative director. Andy has led complex management teams with a focus on operations, strategy, creative, sales, and global reach & engagement. A former EVP at Sony Music and senior executive at Viacom, Andy manages all company operations, marketing and creative. He works closely with Topricin employees to insure the growth of each team member, with chief responsibility for overall company operations, consumer engagement and revenue generation.

Karina Foster

Vice President of Operations and Distribution

 

Karina has been an asset to Topricin for 8 years, building her skills, knowledge of space, and overall career. She started as a part-time employee in the customer service department, quickly transitioning to a full-time position developing greater support for Topricin's robust professional network. In Jan 2017 Karina was promoted to Director of Distribution & Medical Accounts where she oversaw operations related to those sectors. In both 2017 and 2018, Karina won Cardinal Health's Customer Service Rep of the Year award. Most recently, in 2019, Karina was promoted to VP of Operations and Distribution.

Dennis Barnett

Chairman of the Topical BioMedics board Dennis Barnett is President of “Propinquity Associates” Business and Management. Propinquity Associates specializes in Knowledge Management and People Development. Before forming Propinquity Associates, Dennis Barnett worked for Champion International Corporation as a Director of Technology and Knowledge Transfer. Dennis served as a Vice President for the New York City Transit Authority managing their Quality, Testing and Inspection Functions. He also directed and managed laboratories for Champion International Corporation, The New York City Transit Authority and PepsiCo Incorporated. He began his technical work experience with the Union Carbide Corporation working in Analytical and Inorganic Chemistry.

Dennis holds a Master of Science Degree from Fordham University in Analytical and Inorganic Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Herbert H. Lehman College in Chemistry. He formerly served as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps.

Dennis was an Adjunct Professor at New York University and currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Clarkson University while also teaching undergraduate courses at Marist College and the Culinary Institute of America. Dennis has served as the Interim Associate Dean for Business Management at the Culinary Institute.

Joe Mazzarella

Joe Mazzarella has over 25 years of business experience, serving in a variety senior executive leadership roles. In addition to his role as a Director of Topical BioMedics he currently serves as a Board member to and the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Mutualink, Inc., a global leader in secure multimedia interoperable communications and information sharing solutions for public safety, emergency response and defense sectors. Mr. Mazzarella has over 25 years of experience in technology and network communications, including location, wireless communications, networking, video, sensor and IoT technologies. Mr. Mazzarella holds over 20 US Patents in areas ranging from computing, communications, IoT, wearable computing and applied AI.

Prior to Mutualink, Mr. Mazzarella served as the General Counsel to Smartlink Radio Networks, Inc., a developer of a multi-protocol switching technology, and also served as a board representative to TruePosition, Inc., an E-911 wireless location company. Earlier in his career, he served in a variety of senior executive management roles with Connecticut Telephone and started his legal career with the law firm of Cummings & Lockwood in Stamford, CT. practicing corporate, finance, and technology law.
Mr. Mazzarella has a J.D., Cum Laude, from Tulane Law School. He earned a B.S., Chemistry, with honors, from Hobart College.

In 2018, Mr. Mazzarella received a 2018 “Leaders in Law” honor as a 25 top in-house counsel in New England by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, Rhode Island Lawyers Weekly and New England In-House magazines.

David Rosenthal

For almost 43 years Director David Rosenthal is Partner of Counsel for BlumShapiro, a leading accounting firm located in Hartford CT. David provides accounting and auditing services to clients in the manufacturing and wholesale/distribution, management consulting, financial services, legal and medical industries. David serves in an advisory role on many of the firm’s engagements, with a special emphasis on strategic succession planning. David has served a term as the North American Chair of Baker Tilly International, a worldwide alliance of regional accounting firms. David holds a BS in accounting from NYU.

John Stanton

Director John Stanton is a Pharmacist who began studies at Albany College of Pharmacy (Union University), and graduated in June 1969. In 1975 John became a partner in Northern Dutchess Pharmacy, and helped build the business into a leading regional pharmacy.

John has served as a Board member for Gemini Technology as well as Widescope Resources. In 1995 John became involved with Topical Biomedics Inc, and has been a company director for over 20 years. During his tenure, John has seen the company grow from distribution in just a few doors to carriage in over 40,000 doors across the country.

From 2001 to 2015 John worked for WalMart as a Pharmacy Manager. Recognizing his ability to turn troubled pharmacies into productive business units, John became a turn around specialist managing several pharmacies in the Sarasota Florida area. In addition to training candidates to become Pharmacy Managers, John oversaw the Intern Program for future pharmacists.

In 2009 John was presented with Pharmacy Manager of the Year Award.
